Job Description Substitute Infant and Toddler Teacher Assistant Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred. Two (2) to four(4) years of progressive experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed early childhood setting required. Demonstrated experience in developmentally appropriate practices, curriculum planning and implementing, development of lesson plans, and assessing children's developmental progress strongly preferred. Knowledge of DC Child Care Regulations required and DC Early Learning Standards, COA Standards, NAEYC Guidelines, or Head Start Performance Standards strongly preferred. Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks successfully is required. Effective and strong communication skills (orally and written). High level of commitment to, and enthusiasm for, promotion of NCCFD's mission. Ability and enthusiasm for working with staff at all levels of the organization in a collaborative team approach. Company Description NCCFD began providing child care services in Washington, DC in 1964. Since then, we have served over 100,000 children and families. NCCFD is a nationally accredited program that provides high quality, early childhood development services to children 6 weeks to 5 years of age at the Carver Terrace Early Child Development Center located at 2229 M Street, NE in Ward 5. The 12,000 square foot has the capacity for 100 children and operates 11 hours per day. We offer a nurturing and safe environment for children with a structured curriculum, qualified and experienced teachers, a year -round program and nutritious meals.
