Position and Organization Overview Accelerate Institute is seeking an experienced Director of Talent. Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent and Partnership. The Director of Talent's primary role will be developing and executing regional recruitment campaigns and selection processes for both The Ryan Fellowship and The Accelerator. This individual will be responsible for building out the prospect database, engaging top prospects, and playing a primary role in selection decisions. As Accelerate Institute continues to grow and expand into new regions, the Director of Talent will play a critical role in developing and revising recruitment strategies to support regional expansion for these programs. Position Responsibilities Responsibilities and duties include, though are not limited to: Recruitment Cultivate prospects and nominator networks for The Ryan Fellowship and The Accelerator in various regions across the United States, including new markets Serve as the first point of contact for Ryan Fellow prospects and Accelerator Principal prospects Proactively develop and execute multiple outreach activities to ensure diversity in the candidate pool, including but not limited to: social media, web advertising, networking events, information sessions, and working with professional and industry associations Proactively build brand awareness for Accelerate Institute through strategic relationships, partnerships, public speaking, and networking Selection Support the Senior Director of Talent and Partnership in the planning and execution of a unique and rigorous selection process for both The Ryan Fellowship and The Accelerator, including screening applications, conducting phone interviews, managing a range of innovative candidate selection activities, completing high-level reference checks, and preparing recommendations for the Selection Committee Manage and execute the matriculation strategy for accepted Ryan Fellows and Accelerator Principals Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidate is: strategic and results-oriented, excels at critical thinking and problem solving; has exceptional recruiting, interpersonal, and relationship building skills; experienced at building quality relationships with leaders in education, government, and/or the private sector; deeply committed to diversity recruiting within the field of K-12 education; able to be effective as an individual contributor and as a collaborative team player; a highly motivated professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, has worked in the K-12 public education sector, is committed to education reform, and wants to positively impact the lives of millions of children by improving K-12 public education Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree Minimum of three years of experience managing recruitment campaigns for teachers and/or school leaders in the K-12 public education sector Knowledge of charter school management organizations in target market areas Established professional network in K-12 education Adept at developing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships at all levels Ability to thrive in a metrics-driven, fast-paced, and ever-changing organization Detail-oriented, organized, and able to build processes to support human capital development Excellent judgment and high degree of emotional intelligence Tireless work ethic and capacity/willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done Excellent written and verbal communication skills A strong personal connection to our mission, which is to identify and prepare talented leaders to dramatically improve the quality of education for America's students and raise student achievement in urban public school systems Compensation Accelerate Institute offers a competitive salary and full benefits package.
