Make The Change! 2 Uncomfortable Signs You Need To Change Your Job

The thought of changing your job or finally going through with a career shift can be very unsettling. There are a lot of days on the job when you feel like submitting your resignation, moving away, and becoming a hermit. But while the thought of living on our own terms is exciting, for most of us, it’s not an option.

However, you’re still regularly experiencing ups and downs where you don’t want to see your desk for another day; you hate the sight of it. But you can’t differentiate between whether you hate the routine or the job.

When you start to feel that a job is weighing you down and has nothing to offer with regard to personal and professional development, your emotions can be chaotic, to say the least. It may even start affecting your daily tasks.

You do, however, need to be sure before you take a life-changing step toward changing your job or getting a fresh start in your career.

The following are signs you need to watch out for when these feelings start to haunt you:

Breakdowns

Your body starts to show signs of stress if it’s put through uncomfortable and stressful situations for a long period of time. These thoughts that you’ve been trying to push away will start draining your energy, affecting your emotions and irritating you on a daily basis.

As you go through the daily struggle of asking yourself, “do I have to do this?”, you probably don’t hear your body screaming no.

The evenings are a different story, though. When all you want to do is sleep, with no motivation to even look forward to the next working day, you start developing aches and creaks in places you didn’t even know existed. Your shoulders are constantly tense, and there are knots in your muscles which bother you all day long.

Chronic Busy Brain

You know that depressive, sad feeling you get when the weekend comes to an end? Yes, that’s your brain and body telling you not to go back.

Moreover, you’re stuck in a loop thinking of what will happen when you give up the job throughout the night. You start to daydream during the night. You are panicky and agitated in the morning.

If these are regular thoughts that you face, it might be the time to make the change. You’re not doing great mentally. Why are you pushing yourself this hard?

If you’re looking to make a career change, the first thing you need to do is to convince yourself that these thoughts are not going to go away. The next is to post your resume on Jobslog and start looking for jobs that will actually make you happy. An online job search portal might be the only thing you need right now!
