Summary Description:Must process packages in a safe and efficient manner according to procedure to ensure smooth delivery and transportation of goods.Responsibilities:Load packages into vehicles for transport.Sort packages with respect to their destination.Organize and wrap packages manually in preparation for shipment.Inspect packages for correct label format.Handles special packages such as fragile items and hazardous materials according to company rules and regulations.Use computer software to track inventory.Follow all safety protocol.Follow directions on packages and in general to ensure proper processing.Maintain a clean work space.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to inspect machinery for any problems and ensure proper functionality.Strong ability to do simple math and take measurements of parcels.Very good at understanding directions and carrying them out in a meticulous fashion.Drivers license.Relatively clean driving record.Ability to lift heavy materials.Knowledgeable about the tools needed to perform required tasks.Very good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
