Location: Duluth, Georgia Summary: Plans, directs, implements, and oversees human resources policies and activities such as employment, compensation, training, employee relations, and communications with specified dealerships by performing the following duties. Supervisory Responsibilities : This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following and other duties may be assigned. • Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures. • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. • Designs personnel forms and directs the maintenance of personnel records. • Responsible for Company compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters. • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, and/or as directed by the Human Resources Director on personnel matters. • Works directly with dealership managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters. • Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. • Analyzes trends at specified locations in turnover, hiring, promotions, separations, and grievances to determine support or action needed to adjust unfavorable trends. • Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities. • Serves as EEO specialist. • Answers any questions and/or requests by EEOC, ESC, DOL and other governmental agencies, including employee complaints. • Assists with employee litigation issues, as needed. • Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints and harassment allegations. • Conducts needs assessment, develops training curriculum and conducts training sessions on various HR topics. • Oversees training at each location in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, sexual harassment, and EEO compliance. • Conducts HR internal audits and recommends necessary adjustments. • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and insures Company compliance. • Manages vendor relationships for departmental related services. Environment/ Physical Demands: Duties are performed primarily in the management office but extensive interaction with corporate and dealership management and frequent travel are required. Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.
