Provide Flight Test Engineer (FTE) expertise to the CH-53K Integrated Test Team (ITT) in the disciplines of flying qualities / flight controls, structures / dynamics, and propulsion / mechanical systems. Essential Job Functions: Support System Development and Demonstration (SDD) phase testing of the CH-53K to include: Flight loads survey, Structural demo, GAU-21 gunfire, Aerial refueling, Instrument Meteorological Condition (IMC) certification. Support test execution from the telemetry room. Support on-aircraft instrumentation checkouts and participate substantially in test planning, data analysis, and deficiency reporting. Travel with off-site detachments to Yuma, AZ for hot weather / brownout testing and to LHA / D class ships for sea trials. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineeringplus2 years of test engineeringexperience is required (test experience in school can qualify). Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance within 6-9 months of hire. Desired Skills: Ability to: Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems. Apply engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Provide Subject Matter Expertise for U.S. Navy CNS/ATM related communications integrations, testing, and certification. Essential Job Functions: Support system level designs, installation, testing, and certification in aircraft; assuring system compliance to CNS/ATM communications requirements. Utilize principles of systems engineering and other engineering disciplines to evaluate, recommend solutions and clarify requirements. Review conceptual requirements, system specification documents, detailed hardware and software designs for platforms integration communications systems to meet CNS/ATM requirements. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Bachelors Degree and 5 years of experience required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security?clearance within 6-9 months of hire. Extensive knowledge of ARC-210 Radio Systems. Knowledge of commercial communications systems certified for compliance with CNS/ATM requirements. Must have strong Systems Engineering skills with background in one or more of the following areas: (IV&V Lab Test Experience, Operational Test & Evaluation, Aircraft Communication Integrations, Communication Security Management). Ability to work closely with Program Offices and OEMs to support successful conception, development of sophisticated avionics systems. Strong computer, oral, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a multi-discipline team, or independently, as required. Due to the sensitive nature of the work, US citizenship and Secret security clearance are required.
