We are looking for a Physical Therapist (PT) for a Physical Therapy position in homecare in just 3 towns: Hamden, North Haven, and New Haven. The Physical Therapist is not required to have home health experience-- we will accept Physical Therapists with a year of experience with adults or geriatrics (a year of licensed experience) in any of the following settings: skilled nursing facility SNF, rehab center, healthcare center, outpatient, inpatient assisted living facility ALF, homecare / home health, adult daycare center, or hospital. This Home Health Care Physical Therapy (PT) position is full-time benefited position (Health, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401K), however in lieu of benefits the Physical Therapist can get a higher rate of pay. This home care agency is therapist-owned and prefers a Full-time Physical Therapist to fill this need but may consider a part-time Physical Therapist. Due to the fact that all of the Physical Therapy treatments will all be in just those few towns, travel will be minimal. Therefore, the Physical Therapist will often be able to complete each treatment including travel in under an hour, and therefore get 40 hours of pay in less than 40 hours. It is also a very flexible job-- the Physical Therapist makes their own hours. If the PT has an appointment or needs a half day, you just schedule your patients around it. We will also consider paying the per diem rate and guaranteeing the Physical Therapist as many hours as they want per week up to full-time, if the PT prefers. Rate of pay: The full-time physical therapist would have a chance to make as much as they want in that the you would get paid per visit with no cap on the number of visits you could do. There is also the option to get paid with benefits or to take a higher pay without benefits. Depending on experience, the physical therapist would get paid $55-$60 per visit with benefits, and each visit takes about half an hour and then with paperwork and travel the therapist could get each visit done in under an hour. So, essentially you could make that much per hour. If the physical therapist only did only 30 visits per week, the PT would make $85,800 to $93,600 plus benefits, and if the PT did 40 visits per week, he or she could make $114,400 to $124,800 per year (40 visits per week x $60 per visit = $124,800) plus benefits. There is also the option to be full-time at the per diem rate and forgo benefits. The pay for that is $60-$65 depending on experience and the physical therapist would make $93,600 to $101,400 for just 30 visits per week and $125,000 to $135,000 for 40 visits. The Physical Therapist would be guaranteed full-time visits at that rate of pay. The physical therapist treats the patient for about half an hour and travel is no more than 20 mins to the next patient's house, so you can get each visit done in about an hour. There is also no cap on the number of visits the physical therapist is allowed to do, and there are plenty of visits available. Benefits of the Home Health Physical Therapist position: - The pay is very generous - Health Insurance - Dental - Vision - Paid time off (The amount can be negotiated depending on whether the therapist wants more time off or more pay.) - Short term disability - Long term disability - Continuing education reimbursement - Paid mileage - Flexible scheduling-- you schedule your own patients so you can schedule patients around your own personal appointments as well. HOME HEALTH CARE PT JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Physical Therapist must have a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapist must have a license to practice Physical Therapy in the state. The Physical Therapist MUST either be a US Citizen or have your green card- no exceptions. *If you qualify for this position and are interested, please put a note in your application with the following information:* 1. How many hours per week are you interested in? 2. What is your current and desired pay? 3. Do you need benefits and if so, for self, self and spouse, or family? 4. What times and days could you do an in-person interview at the main office in Hamden within the following interview times: Monday afternoon, Tuesdays anytime, Wednesdays after 11, or Fridays 9:30 to 2:30? (The earliest the hiring manager can start an interview is 9:30am and the latest the hiring manager can start an interview is 4pm.) ***We will be emailing all Physical Therapist candidates follow-up questions so please be watching your email that you used to apply to this position.
