What Business Metrics/Analytics contributes to Cardinal Health Business Metrics/Analytics is responsible for developing, quantifying and evaluating the transformation of internal and external information into business intelligence to support the strategic objectives of the organization and drive operational excellence. Includes data and technology management (data acquisition, mining, analysis, data integrity management, metrics management and reporting.) Role overview and key responsibilities The Consultant, Business Metrics/Analytics role is within the Lab Business Analytics team as a key role responsible for increasing the operating discipline of the Lab business: Responsible for supporting and advancing business initiatives through standardized and ad-hoc reporting and analysis as partner to the Lab Product Marketing team, Lab Channel Marketing team, and Lab Global Sourcing team Responsible for managing and continuously improving a suite of essential Tableau tools in support of marketing and sourcing insights Responsible for data integration and data and process quality control and improvement initiatives Key skills and attitudes required The Consultant, Business Metrics/Analytics role requires both technical and process skills and business-facing communication: Requires an interest to work closely with marketing and sourcing teams to further Lab initiatives and identify areas of opportunity Requires an ability to manage and execute a development roadmap for a suite of business-facing Tableau tools Requires the ability to manage the full development pipeline, including gathering requirements, data sourcing and transformation, tool build, deployment, and ongoing maintenance and enhancements Requires an ability to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through the consolidation and automation of standard processes Requires an ability to contribute analysis and strategic ideas to Lab problem solving Qualifications Bachelor?s Degree in technical field, related field, or equivalent work experience Strong working knowledge in Tableau, Alteryx, SAP Business Objects, and Microsoft Excel Microsoft SQL Server/Management Studio or other relational database, Lean Six Sigma, and Salesforce.com experience a plus Demonstrated success in process improvement Demonstrated ability to identify and troubleshoot critical issues 4+ years experience in related field preferred What is expected of you and others at this level Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects May contribute to the development of policies and procedures Works on complex projects of large scope Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
