Job Requirements:
  • Support efforts to grow group life insurance consulting opportunities
  • Work to provide service and support for life insurance products
  • Manage the process of life insurance applications for delivery to underwriting
  • Define new areas of service within the life insurance consulting space
  • Recommend and design solutions specific for life insurance processing on the platform
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of life insurance and annuity carriers and products in the marketplace, underwriting standards, life insurance, and banking regulations
  • Develop and propose wealth and life management solutions
  • Stay abreast of medical guidelines, legislative and compliance processes that affect life insurance policies
  • Located in either Houston, TX or Nashville, TN
  • Perform all transactions necessary to underwrite pending applications with face amounts to 3 MIL
  • Provide medical and financial risk assessment on applications for individual life insurance applications
  • Appraise, and classify applications for life insurance to ensure acceptable levels of mortality within approval authority
  • Provide expert advice on how to properly submit an insurance application, with particular focus on cases at or above $1M in life insurance coverage
  • Perform a variety of monthly, quarterly and annual life insurance accounting processes with little oversight and under pressure of deadlines
  • Evaluate and assess complex life insurance applications and to establish and maintain positive relations and effective communication with internal and external customers
  • Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines, policies, procedures, and processes for all life insurance products to support national product strategy
  • Administer all aspects of all life reinsurance agreements in accordance with Treaty parameters
  • Discuss insurance policies in order to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Maintain a good understanding ofcarrier underwriting guidelines, life insurance industry practices and medicalterminology
  • Manage the underwriting process of cases, including compliance activities
