The Analyst/Sr. Analyst in Internal Audit will be primarily responsible for leading and/or performing audits on the annual risk based audit plan, with primary focus on Investments audits. Investment audits can cover origination to trade execution and investment accounting for a broad range of investments including mortgages, derivatives, solar, and transportation.
In particular, job responsibilities include execution of audits, summarizing and communicating findings to key stakeholders (including senior management), engaging departments / managers to identify specific business risks, and performing continuous monitoring activities. Audit scopes will be cross-functional and will include operational, compliance, and financial objectives, as well as related reviews over the firms Third Party Administrators. The Analyst/Senior Analyst will also be responsible for incorporating data analytics into the audit process, performing integrated audits, and advancing our overall audit methodology. The individual will further be involved in various non-investments audits, firmwide enterprise risk initiatives and projects with exposure to all the firm's activities. QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in relevant major (Accounting preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of public accounting and/or private industry experience
- Strong knowledge of audit processes and internal controls is required
- Prior Insurance Investment Portfolio knowledge and experience
- Experience leading audit engagements
- Experience with Data Analytics and Software a plus
- CPA or CIA preferred (or currently working towards obtaining)
- Self-motivated and willing to take on new audits / projects
- Ability to develop strong relationships with management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, to effectively present to peers and management
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Ability and willingness to travel (approximately 25%)
