We also need the person we hire to manage and maintain physical and digital mail-sorting systems. This long-term temporary-to-full-time employment opportunity is based in the Schaumburg, Illinois area. Major responsibilities - Take care of clerical tasks like word processing, filing, scanning, archiving, and faxing - Redeem data within allotted time frames - Keep optimal machine performance by troubleshooting simple problems (clearing jams, refilling toner, replacing machine oil, etc.) - Gather high volume of letters, memoranda, invoices, and other indexed documents within specified guidelines - Encourage employees complete diverse projects as necessary - Be able to wield mail processing equipment - Catalog, pile, and/or distribute mail and packages - Check in and sort all incoming mail and packages from various carriers - Avert assembly errors by maintaining an organized work station
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ years of prior experience working in a high-volume mailroom setting - Capable of handling general clerical operations tasks that are routine and/or repetitive in nature - Background working with quality control - Demonstrated knowledge of order entry - Foundational knowledge in Shipping - Expertise in mailrooms - Practical knowledge of scheduling - Solid understanding of mail processing - Adeptness in customer service - Proficiency in shipping & receiving - Logistics & distribution experience highly preferred - General familiarity with printing projects - Copying experience - You could be a good applicant for this position if you are flexible and focused - Capable of handling office equipment - Able to manage time well - Experienced in mail processing at organizational level
