As a Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion you will be a key strategic partner for business leadership, Human Resources, and team members. Through consulting, advising, and providing internal/external insights, to positively impact on building a safe and inclusive work environment where all dimensions of diversity are valued and represented, where all team members feel welcome and able to bring their diversity of thoughts, personal and professional experiences to effectively grow the organization. The Director will help champion a diverse workforce where there is equity in hiring, professional development, and advancement.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties
Responsible for working with management to implement, structure and develop an organizational diversity and inclusion program.
Responsible for developing, recommending, and executing creative strategies to achieve the organizations diversity goals.
Responsible for reviewing current practices and policies, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support or hinder the credit union's diversity objectives.
Responsible for collecting and analyzing statistical data to evaluate the credit union's population in accordance with diversity metrics and objectives.
Responsible for working with the Director of Recruiting and Talent Management to evaluate recruiting and sourcing systems to evaluate their effectiveness in attracting a diverse applicant pool.
Responsible for drafting and implementing recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds.
Responsible for administering and developing training programs for managers on diversity and inclusion.
Provides guidance to managers and human resources staff in developing objective performance and other employee coaching and development policies.
Acts as company liaison with government agencies concerning affirmative action and equal employment opportunities.
Responsible for maintaining knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
Responsible for providing training and policy updates throughout the organization, ensuring legal compliance of management and human resources staff.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to assist the growth of the organization and the Human Resources team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity laws and regulations.
Excellent organizational skills with a great attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret and analyze data.
Proficient with Human Capital Management systems or related software.
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required
At least five years of Human Resources or related experience required with at least three years' experience in developing, implementing and administering diversity strategies and programs
Experience working with organizational talent management, succession, performance management and recruiting
