Job Description

We are looking for an Director of Software Development for our office in Palm Harbor. This is a full time position, Monday-Friday 8:30 - 5:00. Once employees are out of their initial training period, we offer a flexible schedule which allows you to arrive any time between 7:00 and 9:00 AM, and leave between 3:30 and 5:30 PM.

Summary of the position: The Director of Software is responsible for providing direction and oversight of the full stack web and oracle development teams. They are responsible to ensure timely delivery of quality and products to end users.

Responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

Provide strategic direction and best practices for development cycle with continuous improvement.

Provide version control processes to ensure consistency, quality and timeliness.

Implement and enforce policies for code review, bug tracking and best practices.

Create and enforce development cycle policies and procedures per industry best practices.

Ensure delivery consistent with Agile/Scrum processes across the team to deliver highly functional products on time and within budget.

Update policies, procedures and process maps for root cause analysis.

Create scripts for automated testing

Establish software develop standards and processes along with best practices for delivery of scalable and high quality software.

Manage and execute software development projects from start to finish.

Write, review and revise product requirements and specifications.

Meet deadlines and budget constraints


Job Requirements

Previous experience as a software developer.

Familiarity with .net framework/core, MVC, C#, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery and React/Angular.

Advanced computer knowledge.

Advanced experience with Excel.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Ability to follow precise and accurate instructions.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Great communication skills.

Required to work additional hours outside of regular work schedule as needed.

PTO and sick days begin accruing on the first day of employment, and are available for use after the 90 day employment anniversary.

PTO/sick days are accrued as follows:

Year 1 - 9 you will accrue 15 days per year.

Each year between the 10th and 19th you will accrue 20 days per year.

And from 20 years onward you will accrue 25 days per year.
