Job Description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Production Release Manager / Technical Coordinator in Moorpark, CA.

A Release Manager is responsible for the process of managing, planning, scheduling and controlling a software release through different stages and environments; including testing and deploying software releases.

* Assist product management and project teams manage and deploy releases into production
* Implement and manage release processes for application related updates through development, test, and production environments
* Focus on coordinating various aspects of production and projects into one integrated solution
* Interface and communicate with Test Managers, Dev Managers, IT Ops and the PMO
* Build the IT Release Calendar in working closely with the IT release managers from different portfolios across the Loan Production environment and centralize view of all releases
* Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications
* Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations and vendors
* Conduct Release Readiness Reviews, Milestones reviews and business Go/No Go reviews
* Review deployment plans, rollback plans, resource plans, communication plans
* Weekly Release reporting
* Communicate release details and schedules to the business as needed
* Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities
* Continually look for making improvements in the release process
* Participate and coordinate the Go live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists
* Participate in the CAB meetings to discuss and review release scopes and/or roadblocks as needed

* Requires experienced Project Manager skills with prior experience scoping / planning a project from inception
* Ability to be on call 24/7
* Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly in a fast paced environment
* Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment
* Must be a team player with strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently
* Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and mathematical skills, using sound judgment
* Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
* Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
