Job Description

HRIS Analyst needed for a contract to hire opportunity with our client in South San Francisco, CA. Position is currently remote however will return to the office at one point.


The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Analyst is responsible for the report generation, data integrity, application administration, support, and maintenance for the Workday Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

  • Configure and manage Workday business processes for Core HCM and other HR modules.
  • Work with functional users to provide technical support, research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with Core HCM and other HR modules.
  • Assist with systems development, upgrades, and project enhancements.
  • Propose, develop, test, implement and evaluate modifications and / or additions to HR systems.
  • Oversee functional testing for all HR system fixes, upgrades, patches, and other maintenance.
  • Ensure data integrity through process improvement, audits, uploads, maintenance, and documentation.
  • Provide daily production support for Core HCM and other HR modules business processes.
  • Resolve issues as they relate to processes and systems.
  • Create and run scheduled queries for end users.
  • Responsible for day-to-day, ongoing maintenance and process tasks within the system including EIB import loads, Workday reporting, creating new locations.
  • Serve as a liaison between HR team and payroll, IT, Accounting, and others with regards to HR systems and enhancements.
  • Support and participate as a project team member in HRIS implementation projects.
  • Engage with Workday community to understand system capabilities and recommend solutions to address business needs.
  • Create user guides, system workflow, and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with development and delivery of end users training.
  • Perform other duties as required.


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, IT, or related field.
  • One + year of experience involving data reporting, business process management and security.
  • One + year of experience with Workday Core HCM required.
  • Knowledge in Workday Integration tools Packaged Integrations, Enterprise Integration Builder (EIB), Document Transformation, Calculated Fields, and Report Writer.
  • Strong technical skills including advanced experience with Microsoft Applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience driving projects to completion.
